Healthcare Cybersecurity has its own award category At last!

Today we announced that our IoMT cybersecurity solution has been selected as the winner of the Healthcare Analytics Innovation Award from MedTech Breakthrough, an independent organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global health and medical technology market.

We are in good company. Other winners are well known household names such as Apple for the Best Overall Fitness Company, Fit Bit for the Best IoT Fitness wearable,  and Phillips Healthcare for the Best Connected Health platform. There is no limit  to the ways technology is changing the healthcare industry. Yet, with all the innovations around using data to improve physical fitness and the efficiency and quality of delivering healthcare it is gratifying to see that there is also a separate category for securing all the medical devices used to collect, analyze, and store patient information.

This isn’t the first time an award company has had a separate category for medical cybersecurity solutions. Earlier this year, the Security Products Guide 2019 Global Excellence Awards gave us a Gold for Security Products and Solutions for Healthcare and a Bronze in the 2017 Security Startups Category.

We are happy for the industry recognition for Cynerio, and these awards also have significance for the industry. The fact that award companies are opening special categories for companies like us demonstrates that cybersecurity is beginning to become top of mind for healthcare administrators. We see this as a sort of litmus test –  an industry validation that the market segment is becoming essential for the medical information ecosystem. It also shows that there is a large enough pool of cybersecurity applicants to compete for these types of awards because of the large number of competitors moving into this market space.

We are happy to compete, and are pleased that this helps us increase the awareness for the need of medical cybersecurity solutions to protect patient data and safety.
